Dates

No dates have been published yet. These are expected from the pattern of past years.

How we estimated this: Sardegna Turismo (tourism board): "una corsa che viene rievocata ogni primo fine settimana di settembre". ICPI (Italian government institute): "Primo fine settimana di settembre". Prior editions quoted: 31 August 2024 (Comune di Cabras); 5 September 2026 (LinkOristano). No 2027 dates have been announced, and no 2027 date is recorded here.

How we checked

Last checked October 20, 2026 against comune.cabras.or.it. Before anything appears here, a separate check fetches each source again and confirms that every date we show is in the quoted text. One of the sources could not be fully re-checked, so a person will review this listing.

Notes from the last check

The Corsa degli Scalzi in Cabras (Sardinia) was verified as operating: the 2026 race took place on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 September 2026, per a LinkOristano report. The official Comune di Cabras page was fetched, but it is dated 2024 and does not state the rule. The 2027 edition is expected on the tourism-board description of a first-weekend-of-September rule, with no dates recorded, so the result is partial.
