How we checked

Last checked October 20, 2026 against iowastatefair.org. Before anything appears here, a separate check fetches each source again and confirms that every date we show is in the quoted text.

Notes from the last check

The official Iowa State Fair site has a 2026 cow chip results page listing youth, men, women and VIP divisions, and the fair publishes its 2027 dates (August 12-22), but no 2027 contest dates were found, so the edition is tba.
