How we checked

Last checked October 20, 2026 against alcaldiadesincelejo.gov.co. Before anything appears here, a separate check fetches each source again and confirms that every date we show is in the quoted text.

Notes from the last check

The festival is evidenced as held in January 2026 and its traditional date is 20 January, but official 2027 dates are not confirmed, and a Constitutional Court ruling deferring a ban on corralejas (reported as taking effect in 2027 or 2028) makes its future uncertain, so the result is possibly_defunct.
