We have not confirmed opening hours, prices or access details yet. The official website is the best place to check.
How we checked
Last checked October 17, 2026 against its sources. Before anything appears here, a separate check fetches each source again and confirms that every date we show is in the quoted text.
Notes from the last check
No official Illuminating York source could be reached; a 2017 trade article says the annual festival was to go biennial under York Mediale from 2018 and that the 2017 edition would not take place, and the Mediale site fetched today describes an arts commissioning organisation with no festival listed, so the series looks defunct or rebranded. A separate York BID show, Colour & Light, appeared in search results but was not fetched, and I did not treat it as the same series.
