How we checked
Last checked October 20, 2026 against santuariosenhordobonfim.com. Before anything appears here, a separate check fetches each source again and confirms that every date we show is in the quoted text. One of the sources could not be fully re-checked, so a person will review this listing.
Notes from the last check
The Lavagem do Bonfim in Salvador is verified as an operating annual event that starts at the Conceição da Praia church and ends at the Senhor do Bonfim basilica, with the 2026 edition covered in news. The 2027 date of 14 January is reported in news citing an academic calendar, not confirmed by an organiser or the tourism board, so the result is partial.
