How we checked
Last checked October 20, 2026 against its sources. Before anything appears here, a separate check fetches each source again and confirms that every date we show is in the quoted text.
Notes from the last check
CARNIRIV (Port Harcourt Carnival) has no official site or current edition that I could fetch: the carnirivnigeria.com domain returns a hosting default page and the sub-pages return 404. Fetched news shows a cancellation under the Wike administration in December 2015 and a February 2025 government plan to revive the festival, but no evidence of an operating 2025 or 2026 edition, so it is marked possibly_defunct with no edition written.
